WEDNESDAY NIGHT – INTERMEDIATE GRADE
Players to be seated by 7:20 pm

INDIVIDUAL LADDER: Played over 9 nights during the year,
in sections of 3. Players must play a minimum of 7 nights and
with 3 different partners in each section. The same 3 partners
can be used in other sections. The winner will be the player
with the highest average calculated from their best 7 scores.
INTERMEDIATE PAIRS & PRESIDENT’S PAIRS: These are
both 9 night matches. They must be played with the same
partner, but a different partner may be used for each
competition. Players must play a minimum of 7 nights in each
competition. The winner of each competition will be the pair
with the highest average calculated from their best 7 scores.
PRESIDENT’S TROPHY: A 3 night Individual competition. To
qualify, a player must play all 3 nights, with a different partner
on each night. The winner is the player with the highest
average score.
SEASONAL LADDERS: Each ladder is a separate 3-night
pairs match. To qualify, all 3 nights must be played with the
same partner, but different partners may be used for each
ladder. The winner is the pair with the highest average score
over all 3 nights.
FOUR SEASONS TROPHY: This trophy is awarded to the
individual or pair with the highest average calculated from
their best 8 scores over all four Seasonal Ladders. Qualifiers
must play at least one night in each of the four ladders, and in
at least 8 out of the 12 sessions.
MERLE BRADY TEAMS OF FOUR: 3 night match. Players
must enter as teams of 4, comprising any combination of
Intermediate and Senior Reserve players. Two substitutes per
team over the 3 nights are permitted.
CHALLIS CUP: The Challis Cup is a Club Closed
Tournament played between Intermediate and Junior Players.
It is played over 2 nights in October. Competing players must
play on both the Wednesday and the Monday night of the
competition. The winner is the pair with the highest average
score.
INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP: The individual champion shall
be the person with the highest average percentage over the
whole year. A minimum of 75% of the available scored nights
must be played and each player must have a minimum of 3
partners throughout the year.
All qualifying rounds must be played with a partner from the
same or the next lower grade of Crockfords club.
