Cyngor Tref Llanwrtyd Town Council/Pavilion Management Group – January 2015 Terms and Conditions for use of Dolwen Field and the Diamond Jubilee Pavilion Preamble: The Diamond Jubilee Pavilion on Dolwen Field, Llanwrtyd Wells was built in the 1970’s and has recently been completely refurbished inside and out thanks to grants totalling £45,000 awarded from the Aggregate Levy for Wales and SITA UK. Other funding has been met by private donations, fund raising events and prize money from the Calor Village of the Year Award which was bestowed on Llanwrtyd Wells in 2009. Dolwen Field and the Pavilion facilities are hired by Event Organisers for use by campers on events weekends; the remainder of the time, the field is used by local children and sports groups. Llanwrtyd Town Council, the Pavilion Management Group and local Event Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission or ask campers/hirers who do not comply with these Terms and Conditions to leave. Terms and Conditions of Hire/Use: When the field is booked (see booking form) the HIRER has SOLE use of the facilities and as such is responsible for the monitoring of events and the behaviour of the campers throughout their stay. Respect the field, pavilion and its amenities, other campers/users and their property. Clear away all rubbish and recycle where possible leaving the field and pavilion clean and tidy. Please be especially careful with broken glass on the field. Hirers of the pavilion only – please turn off the lights, water heaters and secure the building before you leave. No alcohol or smoking allowed in the pavilion. Avoid excessive noise at all times, but especially between 22:00hrs and 07:00hrs when others might be sleeping. No dogs (with the exception of Guide Dogs for the Blind) or pets of any kind allowed. Dolwen Field is a Dog Exclusion Zone with a possible fine of £1,000 for non-compliance. NB: No caravans, campers vans or motor vehicles of any kind allowed on the field and hirers are asked to ensure that the ENTRANCE TO THE PARK is kept FREE in case of emergencies when the Emergency Services might need access. There is to be no sleeping in the pavilion. Users of the field and pavilion are reminded that the River Irfon runs alongside the field and for safety sake, children should always be supervised if playing outside the pavilion. Campers – for your safety and to reduce the risk of fire and overcrowding, you must leave at least a 6 metres/20 feet gap (this can be measured by 7 good strides) between you and neighbouring tents, even if they are part of your party. You will be asked to move your tent if you are pitched too close to others. Families, couples and individuals are welcome to pitch their tents on Dolwen Field; however, under 18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. No open fires allowed, only charcoal or gas BBQs that are raised off the grass and situated away from other tents so as not to be a hazard.
