forces (DHDF), followed by Rick Myers teaching about Chapter 489, and then
Marc Gordon teaching about workers’ compensation and workplace safety.
Ava Jones and Mary Anderson from the FSPA state office manned this years’
membership booth. We were in good hands with these two ladies. Thank you
for your support. Several members could be seen with huge smiles as their
winning tickets were drawn for raffle items. The Chapters President Scott
Griswold, Hula Pools, won the Fishing Basket valued at $111. All it took to
win was a $5 ticket purchase. And how about the huge smiles on the members
faces from Sunsational Pools & Spas, Inc.? They won the golf package valued
at $1,614.
Sunsational Pools & Spas lost by one person to Horizon Pool & Patio for
the most attendees. A $500 gift card was the reward. Congrats to Horizon
Pool & Patio on your two year winning streak.
This year’s winner of the annual 50/50 was Ed Morse, Sunshine Pools
and Stable Waters. New this year was a drawing for the exhibitors. A
complimentary weekend stay at the Marriott went to 5 County Wholesale.
Wow, this year’s auction was better than expected. A few items resulted in
bidding wars. The auction consisted of pool and non-pool items. There were
electric fireplaces, computers, Smart TV’s, apple watches, tools, chemicals,
Nanos, cleaning tools and much, much more. Planning for 2017 is underway.
Keep your pencil sharpened so you can pencil in next years date as soon as
it is available.
