BSR. BSR shot well again in the last quarter to run out winners.

level. Well done to BBH defenders Amelia Squire, Isabelle Bray and Kloe Wenzel for their
tireless efforts all game.
J1- BBH 26 v BSR 24
What a great game to watch. A quick game with great passages of play from both sides. BSR
settled in quickly with goalies Jordyn Hentschke and Ruby Stringer shooting well. BBH at
three quarter time were 7 down but the girls did not let the score deter them. In the last
quarter BBH defenders Isobel Drew and Jessica Cousins applied tight pressure in the circle.
When there was a turnover, the BBH team found space and took the ball down the court
and fed goalie Shae Glacken, who shot 20 of the 26 goals. BBH outscored BSR in the last
quarter 12 -3 to have a well deserved win. It brought a tear to the coach’s eye.
J2- NO GAME
J3- BBH 13 v BSR 3
BBH started strong with many turnovers gaining the confidence to continue to play at a high
standard throughout the game. With Libby Stringer and Erin Wheaton (BSR) making it hard
for BBH to play strongly across the centre court. BBH defences Tilly Noakes and Chloe
Mirtschin worked hard to get many rebounds. Overall both teams never gave up and gave it
their best during the entire game.

RSMU v Blyth/Snowtown
A1- RSMU 47 v Blyth/Snowtown 24
A closely contested game for the first quarter by both teams. Strong defensive work by
RSMU’s Hannah Clark and Ellen Callery enabled RSMU to take a 12 goal lead at half time.
Positional changes by Blyth/Snowtown bringing Hayley Zweck out to GD with Holly Ottens in
centre made the RSMU mid court work harder bringing the ball into attack. Excellent and
accurate shooting by Sophie Griffiths and Zoe Hier to finish off the last quarter with a win by
23.
A2- RSMU 50 v Blyth/Snowtown 44
A fast and frenetic start created errors until players settled into the game. Blyth/Snowtown
goalies Bianca Allchurch and Neve Pratt shot well under tight RSMU defensive pressure.
Quick responses from the Blyth/Snowtown girls meant they capitalised on any loose balls all
over the court. In the 2nd quarter Blyth/Snowtown took the lead through solid full court
plays but RSMU’s centre Hannah Connell interrupted this flow with a few impressive
intercepts. In the last quarter both teams fought for the lead with tight pressure all the way
down the court. A ¾ time positional change saw RSMU’s GS Paige Rowett create problems
for Blyth/Snowtown’s defences and she was able to capitalise on RSMUs defensive turn
overs. RSMU ran away in the last half of the quarter to win by 6.
B1- NO GAME
B2- RSMU 37 v Blyth/Snowtown 39
A tough competitive game for the full four quarters, with all players putting their bodies on
their line for their teams. Blyth/Snowtown goal defender Amber Warner played a strong
game, while Jessica Burns held her end at Goal Attack. RSMU had the lead by four after
Tahlia Tilley was subbed for injury. There was nothing separating the teams throughout with
Shannon Fuss playing a strong game in goal defence for RSMU. The game result came down
to the last quarter with the pressure from Blyth/Snowtown being the difference and they
earned a well fought out 2 goal win.
C1- RSMU 44 v Blyth/Snowtown 40
Blyth/Snowtown started the better of both teams today jumping to a 5/1 lead. The Hawks
then clicked into gear working hard all over the court and lead by 1 at quarter time. An
injury to the Hawks in the second quarter upset their rhythm and Blyth/Snowtown had
opened up a a six goal lead at the half time break. Blyth/Snowtown goalies, Kristie
Brackstone and Ruby Jacka positioned and rebounded well today, while Hawks shooter
Stevie-Lee Dutton and centre Kate Molineux played strong games respectively.
Blyth/Snowtown still held the lead at ¾ time by three but the Hawks played a very good last
quarter to level the score with about 6 minutes to play. It was a very intense last few
minutes with the Hawks running out winners by 4.
C2- RSMU 53 v Blyth/Snowtown 20
RSMU starts the game well with a full team effort. Blyth/Snowtown worked hard to create a
contest but found it difficult to find a way past the full court defensive pressure applied by
the RSMU girls. Tayla Prizibilla and Georgia Oakley were both creating turnovers and helped
to send the ball into attack for the home team. Blyth/Snowtown worked hard to stay in the
contest through the efforts of centre Isabelle Poutis and GK Caitlin Pink. RSMU continued to
fight hard for the four quarters and recorded a solid win.
15 & under- RSMU 13 v Blyth/Snowtown 53
A fantastic performance by a very strong Blyth/Snowtown team. Blyth/Snowtown started
strongly and their tough defence kept RSMU to only 2 goals at quarter time. RSMU defender
Rebecca Lockwood rebounded well but wasn’t given much opportunity due to accurate
shooting by Blyth/Snowtown’s Cartia Jaeschke and Isabel Pratt. Blyth/Snowtown moved the
ball beautifully through the mid court and their pressure on the ball caused RSMU to make
many errors. Blyth/Snowtown ran out convincing winners.
J1- NO GAME
J2- RSMU 17 v Blyth/Snowtown 11
A strong start by RSMU, saw them work hard to be 6 goals up at the first change. The
Blyth/Snowtown defences- Millie Roberts and Matilda Maitland tried to apply pressure but
accurate shooting from RSMU’s Amali Dransfield helped her team open up the lead. Both
teams made changes throughout the game and this made the rest of the game a tight
contest. Scores for the second, third and fourth quarters even at 7 each.
J3- RSMU 19 v Blyth/Snowtown 4
RSMU started the game well with accurate shooting by Madie Przibilla although
opportunities were few with solid defence from Blyth/Snowtown’s Brooke Jamieson
through the mid court. The second and third quarter saw Blyth-Snowtown come into the
game with good attacking by Ocea Ebsary and Bonnie Williams. However consistent
defence in the centre-court and defence by Mia Parkinson and Ella Fox shone through
helping RSMU to a solid win.
J4- RSMU v Blyth/Snowtown
An excellent game today from both teams. Blyth-Snowtown showed exceptional shooting
skills though the entire game and RSMU’s mid court defence was hard to go unrecognised.
Amazing team work shown by both teams.
J5- RSMU v Blyth/Snowtown
A great game with good defence from Talyse Fender and Ryleigh Senar of RSMU with arms
all over the ball. Excellent shooting today from Emily Linkers and Tameka Saunderson of
RSMU whilst Blyth/Snowtown’s Sky Ebsary played well in C and Lily Stirling played a great
defensive game creating lots of turn overs.
