The breeding regulations for the NVSW, hereinafter called the Association, aim to contribute to the protection of the interests of the Stabyhoun breed, as expressed in the statutes and bylaws of the association. The breeding rules (ABR) were approved in the general meeting of the association in the autumn of 2013. Substantive changes to the ABR can take place only with the consent of the general meeting of the Association. 1.2. The Association Breeding Regulations (ABR) for the breed Stabyhoun apply to all members of the Association who live in The Netherlands. 1.3. The board of the Association undertakes to implement the changes in the Dutch Kennel Club Regulations (KR) relating to the ABR, that were established in their own General Assembly. As opposed to the provisions of Article 1.1., these changes do not require approval of the general meeting of the association. This does not relieve the individual breeder to be unaware of the obligation to inform himself and keep up with recent changes in the KR, even if the board of the association remains in default here. 1.4. With regard to the description of the definitions referred to in this ABR the descriptions as defined in the Bylaws and the KR apply. 1.5. As far as the external regulations are concerned, the rules as laid down in the Bylaws and the KR apply. 1.6. Registration of a litter in the Dutch Studbook Registry of the Dutch Kennel Club takes place in accordance with the rules laid down in the KR. Successful mating is one in which at least one live pup survives and is registered at the Dutch Studbook Registry. Note 1: In special circumstances, a litter will not be registered in the Dutch Studbook Registry (Article III.14 KR). This too is considered as a successful mating. Note 2: If sperm of the male is used for artificial insemination (AI), it counts as a mating. Note 3: A foreign mating which results in at least one live pup and is registered in a foreign studbook also counts as a successful mating. 2.5.
