Summary:
This paper provides a progress report on the development of the 700 MHz coordination
information repository.
The specifications are available as Attachment.
The Office has been in contact with WEDDIP to strengthen the cooperation and ensure the
consistency regarding data format.
Proposal:
ECC is invited to note the development of the 700 MHz coordination information repository and
provide feedback if appropriate.
Background:
The Office has been asked by the ECC to develop, under the authority of the ECC SG, an
information repository related to the 700 MHz coordination within CEPT.
The last ECC meeting confirmed, that:
 the system would generally be termed an ’information repository’;
 that it would only be available to view by administrations;
 use of the system by administrations would be entirely voluntary;
 that ECO would only set the system up, with only administrations being responsible for
entering data;
 the repository would be expected to exist for a finite time covering the main phase of
evolution of the 700 MHz band according to national requirements; the meeting did not
commit to an exact time frame.

Specifications
The draft specifications were presented and endorsed by the 39th ECC Steering Group meeting
(see document ECC(15)032). The resulting version is available below.

Development and validation of the repository
Based on the specifications referred to above, the Office has held discussions with a software
developer company. The development is scheduled to start mid-July and to last two to three
weeks.
ECC members are invited to contact the Office if they are interested in the testing and validation
of the repository.
It should be noted that the Steering Group had confirmed that it would act as the point of
consultation between the ECO and the ECC in the remaining steps of providing the facility,
including the validation.

Cooperation with WEDDIP
Following the guidance from the 39th ECC Steering Group, the Office has been in contact with
WEDDIP to strengthen the cooperation on the topic. It has been reported that WEDDIP has
considered the matter at its most recent meeting mid-June. WEDDIP discussed the way to
collect and submit data into the repository. The detailed process will be fine-tuned in the next
couple of weeks.
The ECO contact point is José Carrascosa ([email protected]).
