needed to keep score in each round.
Note: There are two CUBU™ games: CUBU™
and Speed CUBU™
Overview
In the game of CUBU™, the challenge lies in
identifying the number, color and position of boxes
on the cards. The identification of the pattern and the
ability to see which card in your hand would follow
the pattern is the key hurdle. This is how sequences
are created. If you’re really good, you might be able
to play more than one card. But watch out for the
action cards that could completely disrupt your turn!
The first player out in the round wins and collects all
the points from the other players’ cards. Get to 100
points before the rest of the players and you’ve won
the CUBU challenge!

Action Cards
The first player who plays all of the cards
in their hand wins the round. Each card
left in the hands of the losing players counts
as 5 points and action cards count as 10
points. The losing players add up the point
total and the winner gets all of these points.

1. Play a Color SEQUENCE
Starting the Game
If the player decides to play a color
sequence card, the player first must
declare the position and color of the box
that will be followed.
In this case the player declares that they

is your turn. This action constitutes
your turn. The other player has to
pickup the designated number of
cards. Play continues to your left.
The dealer shuffles the cards
thoroughly, and deals 7 cards face
down to each player, and lays one
card face up in the center of the
playing area. After dealing out
the cards, the remaining deck is
placed face down off to the side of
the playing area and becomes the
pickup deck. The dealer role rotates
to the left after each round. Play
begins with the player to the left of
the dealer.

TIP
Action cards count as 10
points at the end of the game,
so you don’t want to be left
with these in your hand.
Winning the Rounds
and the Game
The first player who manages to play
all of the cards in their hand wins the
round. Each color sequence card left in
the hands of the losing players counts
as 5 points and action cards count as
10 points. The losing players add up
the point total and the winner gets all
of these points. The first player to get to
100 points or more wins the game.
3. Draw
If a player cannot do either 1 or
2, then the player must draw a
card from the deck and add this to
their hand. This action completes
their turn.

SPEED CUBU ™
Speed CUBU™ Overview:
Play the game of Speed CUBU
for a fast challenge. In Speed
CUBU™ the action cards are
removed and all of the players
simultaneously race through their
cards to slam them down side by
side in sequence.
™
There are 2 ways to play:
Starting THE Game:
Remove the action cards from the deck.
Shuffle the cards thoroughly before dealing
10 cards face down to each player. The
remainder of the deck (pickup deck) is
placed face down and to the side of the
game play area. The dealer role rotates to
the left after each Speed CUBU™ race.
Game Play
Players may not look at their card pile until
the dealer turns over the top card from the
pickup deck and puts it in the center of the
game play area. The dealer chooses which
type of Speed CUBU™ that will be played
during
the round or the entire game.

END OF GAME
If a player places a card down
incorrectly and this is recognized
during the round, then the player
receives a 10 point penalty.
If all players can’t empty their
hands of cards, then each player
is dealt an additional 5 cards
face down. Once the dealer shouts
‘CUBU’ the play resumes.
If more than one person shouts
‘CUBU’ when they are out
of cards, then the players are
considered to be co-winners of the
round and they split the points.
For a shorter game, decrease the

For a longer game, increase the
