The NEW JUNE 2011 Welcome Molloy Welcome to the second issue of The New Molloy, a newsletter designed to keep you up-to-date on all the exciting new developments here at the College. Although the academic semester may have ended, there is a great deal of work that continues on a variety of new facilities and services that will enhance your experience here at Molloy. New Traffic Patterns for Molloy In addition to the North Gate entrance (the main entry to the campus, with a traffic light), the fall will see the addition of a South Gate entrance on the far side of Maria Regina Hall. This route has been used exclusively for construction workers, but will now provide the Molloy Community with a secondary option for entering and leaving the campus. Shuttle Support for Public Transportation Riders Beginning this fall, Molloy will provide a shuttle bus for those who use public transportation. The Shuttle will bring Long Island Railroad riders from the Rockville Centre train station to Molloy and back again. For those who take MTA buses, the Shuttle will pick up Molloy riders at the Hempstead bus station and take them to and from Molloy. Schedules of pickups and drop-offs will be published later this summer. “One Card” Coming Soon For those tired of carrying multiple forms of identification, credit cards, cash and more, help is on the way. Beginning this fall, Molloy students will be given a new student identification card that also serves as a debit card and, for students living in the new residence hall, an access passkey. The new “one card” will allow students to pay for meals, books and other supplies at campus cafeterias, the new coffee bar and the student bookstore. The card can also be used at campus vending machines and copy machines. Faculty, staff and administration will be alerted to dates when they will be able to get their new identification cards.
