SUSPECT is a table top game where players work in team to solve a crime that has taken place
in the workplace. The game’s primary focus is to assess and build problem solving skills through
facilitated play. There are 4 scenarios that progress in difficulty.
Players play the game and discuss their problem-solving approaches post-play. This post-play
discussion has players identifying skills that may need some work. When the next scenario is
played later, the player can focus on developing that skill.
SUSPECT focuses on these sub-skills of problem-solving:

possible assumptions can be made
Judge the quality of an argument, including
its reasons, assumptions, and evidence
Determine if information is valid and if team
assumptions need to be changed
Develop and defend a reasonable position
Convince teammate of position
Be open to evidence presented
Formulate plausible hypotheses
Work with team member to come up with
potential suspect at various points in game
Draw conclusions when warranted
Make guess as to who the suspect is
The built-in team-based nature of the game also gives players the opportunity to look at their
teamwork and communication skills which they may also choose to focus on as they move
through the scenarios.
