6: There are 4 action types: a) Create: New Program, b) Edit: retain history,
c) Close/Suspend, and d) Edit: erase history. Select action type and form. See descriptions
lesson A7.

Create: New Program
Edit: retain history: Use when changes must have a new start term. For example, when the
program design changes are implemented as of a future term
Close/Suspend: (NOTE: to close a suspended program use Edit: Retain History)
Edit: erase history: This action makes your changes retroactive. The record is overwritten. Use
this action when:
o the existing start term may continue; i.e. URL updates; correcting typos, and
o when additional changes to a program record are made during a single term.
Select this approach only for records created in the recent past. For older records
requiring change, select the action Edit: retain history.
