Count small objects that represent 100 around the
home. Find the total, then ask your child to add
100 more or take 100 away.
Questions to ask:
What does more mean? What does less or fewer
mean? What we you notice about the tens and
ones when we add 100?
How could we record that as a calculation?
(e.g. 140 + 100 = 240)
Encourage your child to answer if full sentences
