Maryvale Softball Association
PLAY BALL!
Maryvale is a local softball organization that has been providing a safe place for
youth and adults of all ages and experience levels to enjoy the sport of Softball in a judgment free and
supportive environment for over 60 years.
 Registration is open to all players, all divisions are co-ed.
 Youth players receive a Team Jersey, Pants, Hat and a Team Photo.
 General softball equipment is provided, but your child must have their own glove and helmet.
 Adult players receive a shirt and banquet ticket.
Games start the week of May 15, 2017 and run weekly to August 19, 2017.
Games Start at 6:30 PM, Players should arrive at the park no later than 6:15 PM
(Adult games will run May 12th - August 18th. Playoffs September 9th, September 10th {rain date} and September 15th)

For the 2017 season, we ask that each parent with a child registered in the league volunteer for a minimum amount of
tasks/hours which will be identified at the start of the season (approximately 5 hours per season). Activities can include, but are
not limited to: Setting up the bases before each game, providing assistance to coaches with organizing players on the bench,
assisting players with equipment, scorekeeping, practice drills, warm ups and more
If you would like to volunteer for a specific role for the upcoming season, please check below the position you can assist with and

Maryvale Softball is proud to be run completely by volunteers, allowing us to keep our fees as low as possible. As a result,
parents/guardians play a vital role in the organization. As a parent you are expected to:
1. Ensure players arrive on time for the games and inform the coach of any planned absences.
2. Ensure your child has the proper equipment and attire for the game (long pants, team shirt, running shoes or plastic cleats,
hats and helmets).
3. Attend and support the performances and efforts of all children at the game.
4. Respect coaches, umpires and other volunteers.
I, the undersigned, shall see that the above player will obey M.S.A Rules and Regulations and that the player is in good health and
able to participate in softball. I also hereby release the M.S.A from any and all claims for damages arising from any accident or injury
which may be caused from participation in the M.S.A activities by the player herein.
