winning your Level 2 round of the National Schools Championships 2016 - 17 (in association with the School Games).
We are pleased to present to you the information pack for the National Schools Championships 2016 - 17 Level 3
West Yorkshire County Round.

SHUTTLES
Babolat Tournament nylon shuttles (medium speed) are the official shuttle of the championships. Shuttles for all
rounds will be supplied by Badminton England.

Appeals must be made in writing (within 7 days) by post to: National Schools Badminton,
Championships Policy Group, Badminton England, National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes, MK8 9LA.

Please note that only the winning team from each event (Key Stage 3 Boys, Key Stage 3 Girls, Key Stage 4 Boys and
Key Stage 4 Girls) will progress to the Yorkshire Regional Round, to be held at York Railway Institute on 8th March.
Ample free car parking is available on-site. Please can Team Managers report to the "tournament desk" on arrival.
As well as being round 3 of the National Schools Competition, this event also doubles as the Badminton Competition
for the West Yorkshire School Games. We shall therefore be issuing t-shirts on arrival which, by their colour, will
show whether your school is representing Bradford, Kirklees, Calderdale, Leeds or Wakefield. We hope your teams
will wear their official t-shirt with pride.
Please can you ensure that you are familiar with the attached Rules & Regulations of this year’s competition. For
reference, copies of the Team Score Sheet, the Rally Points Scoring Guide and the Team Sheet, which will be used
during the event, are attached. However, all the paper copies that you require will be provided when you register on
arrival.
There will be some photographs taken during the event for publicity purposes. Please note that it is the Team
Managers’ responsibility to inform me if parents have refused permission for photos to be taken.
Would team managers also please inform me before the event of any medical conditions that we need to be
aware of.
