CITY OF REDMOND
JURIED ARTWORKS AGREEMENT
FOR EXHIBITION AT
ROBERTS FIELD, REDMOND, OREGON
THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into the
day of January, 2013, by and
between the City of Redmond, hereafter “City,” and____________________________,
hereafter “Artist.”
The parties agree as follows:
SECTION I - AGENCY: The Artist appoints the City as an agent for the purpose of
exhibition and sale of the juried artworks.
SECTION II - SALES PRICE: The City shall sell the artwork at the price set by the
Artist and as specified in writing on the consignment sheet or as agreed otherwise by
the City and Artist. All sales shall be for cash.
SECTION III - SALES COMMISSION: The City shall reserve forty percent (40%)
commission on sales. Commission proceeds shall be used to purchase art for the
Airport Terminal.
SECTION IV - PAYMENT: The City shall pay the Artist’s share within thirty (30) days of
the sale, after the buyer has received the artwork.
SECTION V - DELIVERY: City will make arrangements with buyer as to shipping time
and cost and insurance in transit. Buyer will pay for all packaging, insurance, and
shipping costs.
SECTION VI - SECURITY: The City will take reasonable care and precautions to
protect the artwork from loss and damage. Artwork will be insured for sixty percent
(60%) of the indicated sale value while on exhibition. In the event of loss, Artist shall be
entitled to receive the insurance proceeds but shall have no further claim against City.
SECTION VII - SALES: No unsold works may be removed from the exhibit until after
the exhibit closes on Friday, May 10, 2013. Artwork may be removed as sold.
SECTION VIII-ARTWORK PICK-UP: Any artwork not been picked-up by 5:00 p.m. May
16, 2013, will be deemed abandoned and will become the property of the City of
Redmond without further notice to the Artist.
SECTION VIV - ENTIRE AGREEMENT:
