Players Requesting to Compete in an
older Age Group/League 2017
A written request must be forwarded to the PJSA committee by the parent/s
of the player concerned. You may request the appropriate form from your
league coordinator.
Each request will be dealt with on a player by player basis.
Players may only request to play up 1 grade at school. i.e. if the player is
in Grade 5 (Ollyroos) he/she can go up 1 grade to Grade 6 which would
leave them in Ollyroos. However if they are Grade 6 they would go up one
grade to Grade 7 which would put them up to Junior High.
Factors that the Committee may consider will be:
 Is there room for that player in the requested team/league.
 Will it greatly affect the squad numbers of the team that the player
would normally compete in.
 Will the player be able to play at a reasonable standard in the
requested league.
Factors for the Parent to consider:
 If a player is granted permission to play in an older age group they
cannot be borrowed down to the league below despite being the
correct age.
 Any injury received by the player may cause complications in the
insurance process, parents must be aware of this responsibility.
Requests can be sent to [email protected] or
PO Box 2171, Mandurah 6210, these will be tabled at the next committee
meeting.
