School of the Week!
Sports Relief 2016
The whole school raised a fantastic £196.64 for Sports Relief 2016 on Friday 18th March. Well done!
All of the children ran or walked a mile during the school day and came to school in a sports kit of
their choice.
Year 2 and MLU Trip to Cadbury World
On Tuesday 15th March Year 2 visited
Cadbury World to support their
chocolate topic. The children had a tour
of the factory and got to learn lots about
chocolate. They really enjoyed the 4D
experience and having the chance to
enjoy some yummy chocolate!
Year 4 Dance Festival
Some of our Year 4 children took part in a dance
festival at Stourport Civic Centre on Monday 14th
March. They performed on a stage in front of an
audience and all did a fantastic job!
Nursery Trip to Little Owl Farm Park
The Nursery children visited Little Owl Farm Park on
Tuesday 22nd March.
LITTLE SPARKS had a fantastic day trip at ‘Little Owls
Farm’ as part of their traditional tales topic. We fed
the chickens, geese, goats, ponies and bottle fed
the lambs. We petted piglets, rabbits and chicks.
We all had an amazing time and the children
made us very proud with their consideration for the
animals and impeccable behaviour.

towards the cost of travel for this trip.

Welcome back to Mrs O’Connell
We would like to welcome back Mrs O’Connell teaching in Year 2. Mrs Edwards will now be able
to fully commit her time to her position as Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator.
Book Fair
Thank you to everyone who came along to the Travelling Books Company book fair in our school
library. We made £199.88 and will be spending the commission on some lovely books for the
children.
PTA Easter Egg Hunt
PTA Summer Family Fun Day
Thank you to the PTA for holding such
a fun filled Easter Egg Hunt on Friday
18th March. The children were split into
their houses for an egg hunt, disco
and other activities. The children even
received an egg from the Easter
bunny!
Our Local Community
The PTA Family Fun Day is fast approaching on
Saturday 2nd July 12-4pm. The PTA would like to offer
businesses the opportunity of promotion at the event
by bringing their services to our fun day. The PTA is
asking for a donation of 10% from the businesses’
takings on the day. Also, if you have any equipment
that the PTA can use for the day this would be
appreciated. For more information please pop to the
school office.
Harriers Community Easter Football Courses
Kidderminster Harriers Community Scheme will be holding football courses for children aged 5-14 years
during the Easter holidays. The focus is on saving goals and scoring goals and will include our Goal of the
Day and Save of the Day competitions plus our regular six-a-side tournament.
Courses run 10am-3pm. Half days, 10-12:30 or 1-3 are available if a full day is too much. Courses are held at:
Tenbury Academy (29th & 30th March), Droitwich Witton Middle School (29 th, 30th & 31st March), Bromsgrove
Catshill Middle School (30th, 31st March & 1st April), Kinver High School (31st March & 1st April), Worcester
Bishop Perowne College (4th & 5th April), Malvern Dyson Perrins Academy (4th & 5th April), Kidderminster Baxter
College (5th, 6th, 7th & 8th April), Cleobury Mortimer Sports Centre (6th, 7th & 8th April). The cost is £10.00 per day,
£19.00 for two, £26.00 for three or £34.00 for 4 days. Half days cost £5.00 per day. Places can be booked by
calling the Community Office on 01562 863821 or email [email protected]. Payment can be
made in advance or on the day, cash/cheque only.
Hartlebury Museum
From Monday 28th March until Thursday 31st March Hartlebury Museum has got a range of activities and
special days for families to enjoy. Craft activities will run from 10:30am-4:00pm. Normal admission charges
apply (£13 per family) plus £2 per child for the day’s activities (Tues-Thurs). Each activity will close for a short
lunch break but there will be at least one activity available at all times. For more information contact 01299
