Tic, Tac, Toe!
Mathematics: This game develops your child’s ability to split numbers into three groups. This means
identifying three numbers that go together to make another number. E.g. I know that the number 15 can be
made with 9 + 2 + 4.
How to play: Begin with the usual ‘Tic, Tac, Toe’ game board and a goal number, such as 10. Instead of
placing an X or an O in the boxes, each player will place a number. One player can only use odd numbers;
the other player can only use even numbers. The first person who can put three numbers in a row to make
the goal number wins!
