Jason M. Garfield Scholarship Fund Hosts Alumni
1984-88 MHS Alumni Hockey Game took place at the Pingree School
Marblehead, MA – April 14, 2007
The J.M. Garfield Scholarship Fund hosted the 1st ever Marblehead High School Hockey Alumni Game for
players graduating from 1984 through 1988.
The hockey game was followed by a cocktail party at the Gerry 5, attended by 120 people that included
parents and friends. Patrick Brophy (class of 85') took home the MVP award. Pat Flynn (88') and Scott
Laramie (87') were recognized for 2nd and 3rd Star honors. The Scholarship Fund was the beneficiary of the
event. All proceeds will go to paying out future scholarships to graduating MHS award recipients.

The Jason M. Garfield Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a scholarship fund named in honor of the late Jason Garfield who
passed away in 1983 after a difficult and courageous fight with Leukemia. Each year, the Scholarship awards a four (4)
year grant to a Marblehead High School graduating senior who has overcome difficult obstacles in life, strives to make
a difference in society and desires to continue their education beyond high school.
