Top 4 scholarship bowlers from each division shall make the match play finals. Top Junior Gold bowlers from each division shall earn entries to the Junior Gold Tournament hosted in Cleveland, Ohio based on the following spots to entries ratio. U20 – 1:8, U15 – 1:6, U12 – 1:4. 3) For the scholarship portion 1:5 entries are guaranteed to receive a scholarship. Scholarship funds shall be returned 100% and deposited into a SMART account. 4) Tournament is open to all junior bowlers with a valid Junior Gold USBC certification. 5) Bowlers must present a valid Junior Gold Certification card at the day of the event. Certification cards may be purchased the day of the event. Only cash will be accepted to purchase the certification card on that day. 6) Tournament Director (Michelle Brown) shall have the power to govern the operation of the tournament. 7) While there are scratch & handicap divisions for the scholarship tournament, all Junior Gold Qualification shall be contested on a scratch basis. 8) Prepaid entries shall be $60 with the cut off date being February 26, 2017. Walk-ins will be permitted based on lane availability. Walk-in entries shall be $65 paid in cash only. 9) Checks or money orders for early registrations will be accepted. A bounced check fee of $15 will be applied to any bounced check in addition to the entry fee. 10) Entries will be honored in the order in which they are received. 11) Checks may be made to: DolrBill’s Bowling & Family Entertainment Center. Payment and entry forms should be mailed to: Michelle Brown, Tournament Director, 145-D Danbury Road, New Milford, CT 06776. 12) NO REFUNDS SHALL BE GIVEN. 13) Any appeals or protests must be made in writing to the tournament director within 72 hours after the error has occurred. Any appeal or protest regarding eligibility or general playing rules must be submitted as per USBC rule #329. 14) Walk-ins must check in one hour before squad start time. Early registrations may check in 30 minutes before squad start time. 15) Tardy bowlers must begin the event in the frame being bowled at time of arrival. No pins shall be given for missed frames & no absentee scores. 16) Tournament dress code shall be as follows: Acceptable attire shall include jeans with no rips, khakis or slacks, skorts, bowling related t-shirts or jerseys & collared shirts. Athletic wear & athletic shorts shall not be permitted. 17) For the Junior Gold, there shall be separate girls & boys divisions. Should there not be enough entries divisions will be combined as necessary. 18) For the scholarship tournament there shall be separate scratch & handicap divisions. 19) Accepted averages for the handicap division shall be based on the higher average between the bowler’s current 21 game average or last year’s average. Bowlers must provide certified league averages should they compete in the handicap division. 20) Parents have the right to move a youth to the scratch division. 21) Any averages from a known sport condition league shall be adjusted based on the USBC conversion chart. 22) Scholarship funds shall be distributed in each division based on the number of participants. The top 4 bowlers from each division shall make the match play finals. Remaining scholarships will be paid out based on highest 5 game qualifying scores on the 1:5 ratio.
