Introduction
Hospital Family Resource Centre is a registered charity and Company Limited by Guarantee directed by a
voluntary board of directors. The company was founded in 2003 and has managed national, regional and
local budgets in line with best practise. Our main activities involve supporting families and individuals in
our community through individual and group support, adult education and training, information, advocacy
and awareness raising. We work with a variety of target groups including children, people experiencing
rural isolation, people with disabilities, older people and families. We work in a welcoming and nonjudgemental way and challenge inequality to influence change.
Context: Suite of training to upskill and train Hospital Family Resource Centre staff and volunteers and roll
out of family support skills for members of the community, young people and families living in the rural
East Limerick area. This training will be aimed at
o staff and volunteers with Hospital Family Resource Centre
o members of the community, those who are rurally isolated, young people at risk of leaving school
and those most distant from the labor market or experiencing exclusion.
Summary of work to be done:
Develop and deliver workshops on a range of topics to support and upskill staff and volunteers of Hospital
Family Resource Centre
Develop and deliver workshops on a range of topics to support and upskill members of the community.
Work will take place between January 2018 and December 2018.
Key outputs required from contractor(s):
1. Development and Delivery of Workshops: A proposal and quotation for the Development, facilitation
and delivery of interactive workshops to groups of up to twenty no. persons.
2. All workshops will take place in facilities identified by HFRC
Each workshop would be expected to have, at a minimum, but not exclusively, the following content:

supporting those impacted by wrongdoing to overcome
the harm done to them.

Reporting: Within one week of workshop delivery, the contractor will provide copies of the workshop materials
(presentations/handouts, in printed and electronic formats, including the required funding programme
acknowledgements and logos) along with participant details and workshop attendance.
A full workshop outcome report (four page A4, in printed and electronic formats) and summary of participant
key actions must also be sent to Hospital Family Resource Centre
Original participant registration sheets will be retained by Hospital Family Resource Centre
Expected Workshop formats: The workshops will be delivered at venues identified by Hospital Family Resource
Centre.
Workshop format and times will vary between evenings, weekday Mornings and weekends depending on need

NOTES: Hospital Family Resource Centre does not bind itself to accept the lowest price or any tender. It
reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any or all tenders received.
The Contractor must clearly specify which Lot Number(s) they are bidding for in their proposals. A single price
quotation for the work (inclusive of all costs) to be undertaken including provision of all printed materials for
participants.
Please itemise VAT, if applicable, and what regime applies. The proposal will be deemed invalid if this
requirement is not met. (Room hire and refreshment costs should not form part of your quotation, as they will
be covered by Hospital Family Resource Centre).
Successful Contractors should provide their own laptop but presentation screen and projector will be provided

at venues. All hardcopy handouts and other materials for workshop participants should be provided by the
Contractor. Presentations and handouts should contain the logo requirements which will be outlined by
Hospital Family Resource Centre as well as associated funder logos and programme acknowledgements. These
will be forwarded to the winning tenderer.
Workshops will run subject to sufficient participant numbers registered.
The Contractor’s invoice should be submitted on the day of the training delivery and payment will be made
within thirty days by Hospital Family Resource Centre. Payment will not be issued unless all delivery and
reporting requirements are met by the Contractor.
