Jay Jyoti School celebrated 68th Republic Day in the school assembly arena. First of all the
students of Jay Jyoti School assembled in front of JUET academic block – III for the flag
hoisting by V.C. Prof. JSP Rai. After the flag hoisting, Prof. JSP Rai addressed the entire
gathering and delivered a very thoughtful speech. Thereafter, all the students and staff gathered
in the school assembly arena. The programme started at 10:00 am with the speech by Mrs.
Poornima Gupta, Master SamayRathi recited a patriotic poem, kids performed action song,
dramatics was performed on freedom struggle, a group song was presented and lastly
masterRamlakhanMeena and JayeshPaliwal sang a patriotic song. Hon’ble Principal Madam
appreciated the efforts of all the participants and wished everybody to contribute towards nation
building.

“Don't
Jay Jyoti School celebrated its grand fifth annual function on 5th of February. The event started
at 12:00 pm with the arrival of the chief guest Mr. S. K.Shukla, GM of N.F.L. Vijaipur Unit and
other guests as Prof. J.S.P. Rai VC of JUET, Brig. (Retd.) S.K.S. Negi, VP and Manager of Jay
Jyoti School and other eminent guests. Following are programs and the items of the annual

Prize Distribution Ceremony for National Science Day: 28th Feb.
A prize distribution ceremony was organized at 5:15 pm in LT-5 of JUET campus to honour the winners of Jay Jyoti
School for the competitions organized by JYC at Jay Jyoti School on 23rd February i.e. Poster Making, Essay Writing and
Quiz for National Science Day. Mr. Deepak K. Sen, Mr. ChetanChouhan and Mrs. Abhilasha Sharma escorted the
winners to the venue. The gathering was addressed by chief guest Dr. Dinesh Singh Rajawat, Senior Orthopedic Surgeon,
Meenakshi Hospital Guna. The Chairman of JYC presented a brief report on various activities at JUET organized to
observe National Science Day.
Humanitarian Work
Under the able guidance of Hon’ble Principal Madam, Jay Jyoti School undertooka humanitarian work on 31st Jan.
Hon’ble Principal Madam along with four teachers – Mr. Deepak Sen, Mr. AnoopKaushik, Mrs. Hemlata Sharma and
Mrs. LaxmiKashyap and five students – JhanaviNigoniya of VII, DivyaRathore of VII, Ajay Dhakad of XI, RanaVikas of
XI and AnujVishwakarma of X – visited an old age home in Guna and distributed shawls to the elderly. The students
representativeswere taken to create awareness among them regarding the poor conditions of the residents of old age
home.
Teacher Presentation: 1st Mar.
Ms.Gipsi KM presented a very enriching PPT on RTE in the school conference room. The PPT was on inception of RTE,
its advantages and disadvantages and its impact on the education system. A discussion ensued on the misuse of RTE act
in India among the staff members. Hon’ble Principal Madam appreciated the effort of the presenter and congratulated her.
New Session of Class XII: 6thMar.

The new session of class XII began on 6 March for science and commerce.
Admission Test for Nursery to IX: 19thMar.
The admission tests were conducted for nursery to IX. Following teachers conducted the admission procedure –
Class Nursery to II: Mrs. Uma Kashyap, Mrs. RajniSoni, Mrs. PoojaSurve
Class III to IX: Mrs. Vandana Sharma, Mrs. Abhilasha Sharma, Mrs. Jyotsana Dixit, Ms. Aitreyee Bhattacharya
Teacher’s Workshop
A pre-primary teachers workshop was held at Jaypee Public School, Sector 128, Noida from 27 th Mar. to 30th Mar. for
teachers of all Jaypee Schools taking classes KG to II. Mrs. PoojaSurve, NTT attended the workshop. Ms. Simi
Srivastava conducted workshop on importance of story-telling on 27th. Ms. AlpanaBhatnagar (special educator)
conducted workshop on inclusive education on 28th. Ms. HemaBatra (Maths expert) conducted session on activity based
elementary mathematics on 28th. Mr. SanjeevMarwaha conducted session on effective maths teaching in pre-primary,
theatre workshop by Mr. V. Alexander, Art & Craft by Ms. AlkaGauba. On the last day every teacher had to give
presentation on story telling.

A photo session of all the classes along with the respective class teachers and Hon’ble Principal Madam was held in the
school assembly area. This photo session was organized after the culmination of the all the CCE activities of the
respective academic year.
Formative Assessment Test
F.A.-IV tests from classes III to X started on 21st January.Tests of Class XI started on 12th Jan. and ended on 18th Jan.
Sport Activity: 26th Jan.
Master Sachin Rai of X B participated in State Level Football Tournament held at Bhopal under the Central Govt.
scheme of “Khelo Bharat Khelo”.
Farewell Party: 31st Mar.
Ms. GipsiKM (TGT Maths) was given a heartfelt farewell by the entire Jay Jyoti family. The party started at around 1:30
pm. Firstly, Hon’ble principal madam addressed the gathering and exulted Ms. Gipsi for her dedicated and active effort
for improving the standards of students in Maths. A very concerned and sensitive teacher for the students, she laboured
hard to give the best results always. Everybody agreed with one voice that Ms. Gipsi spread positivity always and that she
would be dearly missed by everyone. Later snacks were served and Ms. Gipsi was presented with gifts from the staff
members.
Mobile Planetarium & Science Exhibition on Wheels
The mobile planetarium and science exhibition on wheels, a Govt. of India initiative to spread the knowledge of science
and generate interests of students for the same, arrived at Jay Jyoti School on 9th Feb. The volunteers displayed a science
magic in front of the students in the assembly arena entertaining and educating the students at the same time. From 11:00
am onwards the students were taken to the mobile planetarium temporarily in the activity room where they were showed
the different celestial phenomenona like identifying the comecellations, stars, planets etc. Then the students were taken
on the science exhibition bus. The volunteers explained the different phenomenona related to Physics and Chemistry. The
exhibition finally ended at 2:30 pm.
De-Worming Day: 9th Feb.
The national De-warming day was observed in the school. All the students were given de-worming tablets provided by
MP State Govt. in collaboration with central Govt. in order to check the problems of worms in the stomach of children
from the age group of 1 to 19 years.
Guest Lecture for Classes IX & X: 10th Feb.
Hon’ble Brig. (Retd.) S.K.S. Negi, VP and Manager of Jay Jyoti School and Registrar JUET, addressed students of
classes 9 and 10 on examination tips. Negi Sir shared very valuable inputs on how to control stress during examination,
examination preparation, time managements, healthy diet and most importantly question paper solving. The students
asked questions to Negi Sir which he answered very patiently. The hour long lecture and interaction session ended at 11
am which was organized at MP hall in Jay Jyoti School.
Pre-Board Examination of Class X
Third Pre-Board Examination started on 16th February and ended on 22nd February.
Final Examination of Class XI
Final Examination of class XI began on 18th February ended on 27th February.
“Try to be better than yourself”
Special Assembly of Scouts and Guides
Mr. Deepak K. Sen and Mrs. HarpreetKaur organized the special assembly of scouts and guides to observe the birthday of
the founder Robert Baden Powell. Mr. Sen briefed students about the achievements of Jay Jyoti School scouts and guides
and started the programme by initiating Mrs. Vandana Sharma as the honorary guide after garlanding the photo of Powell.
The scouts & guides took their oath and performed group song.
