Overview
Designed with the active video shooter in mind, the Wenpod X1 is
the smallest and lightest gimbal stabilizer available to date. The X1,
a single axis gimbal, was engineered specifically for use with the
GoPro Hero 3 & 4 action cameras. Its single axis design stabilizes
the roll-factor of the camera’s movement, allowing an operator to
achieve shots that, while fluid, do not lose their intensity and kinetic
energy by being over-stabilized.
The X1 easily integrates into any avid GoPro shooter’s rig by
utilizing the same forked GoPro mounts as the camera. Even
though the X1 is designed with action cameras in mind, it is also
a suitable mount for most smart phones, especially if that phone
were being used with the ever ubiquitous selfie-stick.
