ASSISTANT COACH, SOFTBALL – Clark College Clark College, a 2‐year community college located in Vancouver, WA, is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Coach, Softball to begin immediately. Under the supervision of the Head Coach, this part‐time position will oversee all aspects of the softball program within the athletic department and with the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) policy and regulations. Such duties include, but are not limited to: teaching softball skills, game preparation, enforcing training rules, recruiting within the rules and regulations of the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC), assisting in transportation of teams, assisting in field maintenance. The softball season has a fall season (non‐traditional) that is in September and October, and the spring season that begins in January and ends in late May. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE  Bachelor’s preferred  One year of successful coaching in high school or college softball OR participation in college softball KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS  Coaching experience at the college level and demonstrated success recruiting student‐athletes  Knowledge of NWAC rules and regulations  Working, and interacting effectively, with colleagues, staff, students, administrators and others of various cultural and socio‐economic backgrounds  Demonstrated understanding of intercollegiate athletics and academia  Imparting excitement and enthusiasm into coaching  Effective oral/written communication with people at all levels both inside and outside of the College  Member of NFCA or willingness to join TERM OF EMPLOYMENT / SALARY  Part‐time position  SALARY: $3,500 annually  OPEN UNTIL FILLED Direct all materials and inquiries to: Meghan Crouse Head Softball Coach [email protected] 360‐703‐1125 (Cell) http://www.clarkpenguins.com/
