Request for Support - Introduction The VINCI UK Foundation will grant projects which aim to tackle at least one of the following issues: 1. Access to employment Help those currently excluded from the job market to adapt to the working world, whilst also receiving the training and support they need. Offer basic training and guidance to enable individuals with no qualifications to enter the working world. 2. Insertion through housing Enable access to housing for the most underprivileged individuals to provide them with more security and stability. 3. Inclusive mobility Providing people with easier access to secure employment, health care and education by improving the mobility of those deprived of means of transportation, and reduce the factors restricting their mobility. 4. Building better communities Strengthen social links and fight social isolation of inhabitants of priority neighbourhoods. Convey citizenship values and educational training to young people. Locality: The Foundation supports projects located in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, near the offices of VINCI companies. Eligible organisations: Small/medium size community interest or non-profit organisations. Independent, with no political or religious orientation. The VINCI UK Foundation will not consider applications from individuals, private sector (profit based) organisations, statutory bodies, federations, public organisations, institutions and political or religious organisations/groups. Sustainability: The VINCI UK Foundation will support long term projects, providing sustainable help. It does not finance one-time events (exhibitions, demonstrations, temporary projects), even if they are socially oriented. Innovation: The VINCI UK Foundation seeks projects that involve innovative strategies to tackle social exclusion. Financial support: The financial support provided by the Foundation is a one-off grant ranging from £3,000 to £20,000. It may be allocated in two stages, with one funding at the beginning of the partnership agreement depending on the funding requirement of the project. Involvement of VINCI’s employees: Only projects that involve at least one VINCI employee as a sponsor will be considered. The proximity between the location of the project and the sponsor is essential for the efficiency of the partnership. The sponsor will take part in the project from the request for support to the production of the annual progress report. The sponsor will also participate in the Foundation’s visit organised by the local coordinator of the Foundation. Our employee volunteering provides community projects with lasting benefit through the transfer of expertise and skills. The sponsorship may take on various forms. For instance: Taking part in the day-to-day life of the supported charity: voluntary work, tutoring, etc. Bringing management skills and expertise (accounting, communication, Health and safety advice). Practical support to complete work on a project involving specialist skills (land clearance, construction, drainage, design etc.) Bringing career advice or promoting the different activities of the sponsor’s company (running resume workshops, interview practise, worksites visits, etc.) 1.
