Teams
Running is more fun with friends! New this year at the Sole Harvest 5K is the ability to create
teams to show your school, company, or group pride AND further help the Norristown
Hospitality Center by optional fundraising.
Awards will be given to the team with the most members, the team with the highest
fundraising total, and the team with the most creative team shirts or costumes. Go all out!
Instructions for Creating and Joining Teams
Teams must be created in registration by a team captain registering him or herself.
To create a team:
Within registration, find the Team Information section.
Click “Create a team” and
enter team name below
IMPORTANT:
If you want your team to fundraise, you
must click the “Team fundraise “ option.
THIS CANNOT BE CHANGED LATER.
* Note for fundraising teams: For legal
reasons, active.com will not allow
registrants under 18 to fundraise.*
To join an existing team:
Within registration, find the Team Information section.
Click “Join a team” and
select the team you wish to join
Have fun and be creative! Remember, the largest team, the team
with the highest fundraising total and the team with the most
creative shirts/costumes wins an award!

If you are on a team that has chosen to fundraise, you can invite people to donate through your
team online at the Sole Harvest 5K fundraising page (https://fundraising.active.com/event/
2016SoleHarvest5K). Please see instructions on the next page.
Donations by check can be made out to Norristown Ministries Inc. and mailed to 530 Church
Street, First Floor, Norristown, PA 19401. Please write the name of your team (e.g. Sole
Harvesters) in the memo line of the check so we can credit it to your team’s fundraising total on
the website.
Instructions for Online Donations
It is important to make sure that these instructions are followed exactly to ensure
donations get credited to your team.
Direct donors to Sole Harvest 5K fundraising page: https://fundraising.active.com/event/
2016SoleHarvest5K and click the Find a Fundraiser button.
Click “Find a Fundraiser”
Go to the Teams tab and be sure to select the correct team.
