This group is starting small to register teams to play in spring and summer tournaments. They will be looking to add additional players and teams in fall 2016. I met with representatives of Futbol Cascade Club on 2/12/16 to discuss applying for membership. This organization is located in the Aumsville/Stayton area and will begin with girls teams. They have not yet submitted an application, but we anticipating one in time for the board to consider them for club membership in the 16-17 year. I have had discussions with representatives of an organization in Florence, Oregon who are looking to become a member club. They have indicated plans to submit an application in time to be considered for membership for the 16-17 season. Risk Management There are no risk management issues pending at this time. Grievance and Discipline There are no disciplinary matters pending at this time. Leagues and Tournaments The Timbers and Thorns winter and spring leagues are in full operation. Spring league matches for U11U14 premier teams began February 6 th. Non-premier teams not planning to play in the Oregon State Cup will begin play February 27th. The spring developmental league for U8-U10 teams will begin play on February 28 th. There are 155 teams in the league, up from 135 teams in fall 2015. Schedules are posted with links on the OYSA website. Far West Regional League FWRL schedules have been published. Schedules can be viewed through the Region IV website, http://regioniv.usyouthsoccer.org. Oregon teams are in contention for FWRL championship positions in several age groups.
