getting ready for the new school year and excited to get started and see all your friends again. We at the Sandgate
Hawks Netball Club Inc. are very excited for the coming 2015 Winter Season and look forward to seeing old and many
new faces join/re-join the Club this year. Please see below some important information you need to read carefully:
PRNA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE REPRESENTATION
I would personally like to congratulate Cherryle Staff for being nominated and voted in as the PRNA Finance Officer
for 2015. It is fantastic to see a member of our Club volunteering to ensure the Sandgate Hawks has a voice on the
PRNA Executive Committee. Congratulations Cherryle!! I am sure you will do a fantastic job ☺
2015 SIGN-ON DAY
We have 2 x Sign-On Days this year where you can come along, fill out a Registration Form, try a uniform on and
meet and greet the Sandgate Hawks Executive Committee for 2015 Winter
Season.
The 2 x Sign-On dates are:
• Saturday 31st January 2015 from 9:00am to 1:00pm
• Saturday 7th February 2015 from 9:00am to 1:00pm
Both Sign-On Days are being held at the Sandgate PCYC. Please don’t wait until
Sign-On Day to fill out a Registration Form, please fill-out our online form at
http://sandgatehawks.org.au/registration/registration-form/ . Don’t forget to
download your Sandgate PCYC Forms either and fill this out at http://sandgatehawks.org.au/registration/pcycregistration-form/ should you require PCYC Membership.

CLUB BY REGISTERING ONLINE ASAP
REP PLAYERS MUST REGISTER IMMEDIATELY
As our netball season for rep soon approaches, it will be imperative to have our club rep players’
register with Sandgate Hawks Netball prior to the first session of Phase 3 which commences on the
27th January. This is purely for injury insurance purposes otherwise should this not be done this
player will NOT be covered should an injury occur. The PRNA have contacted each player (to date 12,
13 & 14yo) to advise them that they need to register with the Sandgate Hawks as soon as possible.

2015 REGISTRATION FEE
The Club has been able to reduce the cost of the Registration Fee this year due to the Club’s proactive fundraising
involvement with the Bunnings BBQ Fundraisers. We look forward to continuing to raise money by participating in
the Bunnings BBQs, however volunteers will be called upon to assist to ensure we have a good club representation
as many hands make light work. Netball Queensland has increased their 2015 Player Registration Fee by $10.00,
therefore the 2015 Player Registration Fee to the Pine Rivers Netball Association (PRNA) has increased from $125.00
to $135.00 per player.
Player Registrations Savings – there will be no Fundraising Levy this year therefore each family will be making a
significant saving of $50.00 per player.

GET IN THE GAME GET STARTED VOUCHERS
What is Get Started? Get Started is one of three funding programs
that comprise the Queensland Government’s Get in the Game
initiative to support sport and recreation at the grassroots level.
Get Started assists children and young people who can least
afford, or may otherwise benefit from, joining a sport or recreation club.

• hold or whose parent, carer or guardian holds a Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card
• other children or young people identified by two referral agents.

wish to sell.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could pass these uniforms onto Sharon to sell for you by our
first Sign-On Day.
QLD FIREBIRDS FREE CLINIC AT THE PRNA
PRNA is hosting a FREE FIREBIRDS CLINIC on Saturday 17 January.

UMPIRERS REFRESHER COURSE
For those who attended the Beginners Umpires Course in 2014 at the PRNA, there is a couple of follow-up sessions
you are required to attend to refresh your minds for umpiring in the 2015 Winter Season. The sessions are

DEVELOPMENT COACHING COURSE
A Development Coaching Course is to be conducted at PRNA on 1st February 2015 commencing at 9am and
concluding at 4pm. As a number of our coaches attended the foundation course in 2014, this course is designed to
increase your coaching knowledge.
