We have had another fun filled and action packed week

Mallard Class Newsletter
We have had another fun filled and action packed week! Mallards have been full steam ahead with their
phonics learning this week and have been impressing Miss Christopher with their fantastic letter formation.
They have been applying this new found knowledge in their reading too! We have been learning about plants in
Science and couldn’t believe how many different things were made from them, particularly clothes that are
made from cotton! Pound signs have been glinting in Mallards eyes as we have been learning about money in
maths. We can now recognise lots of coins and work out the ones we might need to pay for items. We put our
knowledge to the test when counting the money we had brought in for the MacMillan Coffee morning. In
Outdoor Education we re-enacted the Battle of Bannockburn. Mallards were English and Moorhen were
Scottish – we had so much fun making and throwing flour bombs.
Have a fantastic weekend!
