COMPETITION DETAILS
The SSS Team Cup 2016 will be held in the Playdrome Sports Centre, 2 Abbotsford
Road, Clydebank, Glasgow, G81 1PA on Sunday 13th November 2016.
9.30-11.30am: kata seminar with national kata coaches Billy Haggarty & Mark
Marshall
12.00-4.30pm: Team Cup competition
COMPETITION REGULATIONS AND COMPETITOR ELIGIBILITY
Clubs are advised that there will be a full license check and matriculation card
check. Competitors must have an affiliation to the WKF. Any competitor who is
unable to produce a matriculation card and license prior to the event will be
ineligible to compete on the day of the competition.
Kumite matches will be fought according to the current WKF rules. Club coaches and
captains should draw the attention of all their competing members to these regulations,
and should ensure that they are clear as to their meaning. Any amendments to these
regulations will be notified to coaches and captains on the day of the event.
For the Team Kata event mixed gender teams will be allowed, pinan / heian kata will be
allowed, kata can be repeated (but not consecutively). Bunkai will NOT be required.
For all kumite events the following protective equipment is compulsory and must be of a
type approved by the WKF:
 Gum shield
 Red / blue mitts
 Red / blue shin and foot protectors
 Female chest guard
For female kumite events a chest guard is compulsory
For male kumite events a groin guard is optional but advised.

University competition in advance of BUCS.
