Thank You For Our Gifts Introduction – Wayne We have learned so much at school so far this year and now it is time for us to reflect on our many achievements. Please join us in singing our opening song. Opening Song – Created These are my hands, Oh Lord, These are the hands you’ve created. Help me to use them Lord, Help me to use them as you would. Oh Lord, I give you my hands, Oh Lord, I give you my hands. Help me to use them Lord. Here is my heart, Oh Lord, This is the heart you’ve created. Help me to love, Oh Lord, Help me to love as you would. Oh Lord, I give you my heart, Oh Lord, I give you my heart. I give you my whole heart Lord. I thank you for who I am, I thank you for who you’ve created. Cause this is who I am Lord, This is who you have created. Oh Lord, I give you myself, myself, I give you my whole self. Oh Lord, I give you myself, myself, I give you my whole self. Penitential Rite– (Celebrant) Lord Jesus, you are the source of all life and peace. For the times we have been too busy with our own lives to feel your peace. Lord have mercy. All - Lord have mercy. Lord Jesus, you gave up your life to show us that you loved us. For the times we have not opened our hearts to your love. Lord have mercy. All - Lord have mercy. Lord Jesus, you are so powerful. For the times we have forgotten your ability to change our lives. Lord have mercy. All - Lord have mercy. Opening Prayer – (Celebrant) God our Father thank you for each of us here today and the many achievements we have made this term. Help us to find out what we can do well, and help us to use our gifts generously and usefully. We make this prayer through Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen. Reading – Colossians 3:12, 15b-17 (Wendilyn) A reading from the letter of Paul to the Colossians. Brothers and sisters: God loves you and has chosen you as his own special people. So be gentle, kind, humble, meek, and patient. Let the peace that comes from Christ control your thoughts. And be grateful. Let the message about Christ completely fill your lives, while you use all your wisdom to teach and instruct each other. With thankful hearts, sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. Whatever you say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks to God the Father because of him. This is the word of the Lord. All: Thanks be to God. Gospel – Matthew 13:31-32 (Celebrant) A reading from the holy gospel according to Matthew. Jesus told the people this story: “The kingdom of heaven is like what happens when a farmer plants a mustard seed in a field. Although it is the smallest of all seeds, it grows larger than any garden plant and becomes a tree. Birds even come to nest on its branches.” This is the Gospel of the Lord. All: Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ. Reflection Homily (Celebrant) Prayers of the Faithful (Celebrant) We turn to God who loves us and give thanks: (Sam) That our school community may be blessed.
