Bloedel Conservatory & Oakridge Mall Monday, January 16, 9:30am to 3:15pm Cost: Members $20; Non-members $30 Can’t make it to Hawaii this winter? Instead take a short tropical break at the Bloedel Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth Park. We will spend about 1 hour enjoying the exotic plants and flowers, and free flying exotic birds in the lush domed paradise. Beginners are welcome on this winter wonderland adventure in Cypress Mountain. The Hollyburn Meadows Tour is a 2 hour snowshoe walk led by an experienced trail guide who will share the rich cultural and natural history of Hollyburn Ridge as you explore the snowy mountain fores. We will make a 1 hour stop at the rustic Hollyburn Lodge to enjoy lunch (included in price) and a warm drink. Take an hour of afternoon free time to sit on a peaceful bench and feed the whiskey jacks at First Lake, or continue snow shoeing until you are escorted down the 20 minute trail for departure. We will start with a tour of the venues for the events held at the Richmond Oval during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
