J2M TRAVEL DETAILS
Here are details that you will find helpful as you prepare for our four days together.
Departure:
We will meet at River Life Covenant Church, 4401 A St, Sacramento. Please arrange your travels
so that you will arrive by 9:00 AM for the orientation.
Return:
We will have our final debrief session at River Life Covenant. We hope to conclude the trip no
later than 4PM.
The Fred Jordan Mission (Thursday night, 445 Towne Ave, Los Angeles)
The Fred Jordan Mission has been serving Skid Row in Los Angeles since 1944. For some, the
mission may be a stretching experience, but know that it will be a relatively safe and
comfortable one. We will sleep in two separate rooms, one room for each gender on bunk
beds. There are three rooms available with a single queen bed. Please let Nelly know
([email protected]) if you need your own room. Bathrooms and showers are centrally
located, one for each gender.
If for some reason you are not able to stay at the mission, arrangements can be made for you to
stay at a nearby hotel. We ask that you would cover the $120 charge. Contact Nelly so she can
make this arrangement for you.
What to Bring:
 Bible
 Sleeping bag/pillow (only for Thursday night – we have some sleeping bags available; let us
know to bring one for you)
 Toiletries & towel (only for Thursday night)
 Comfortable clothes and shoes for walking
 Refillable water bottle
If you have not already told us about a partner, we will let you know who your partner is when
we begin. Please note that if you are participating with your spouse, you will not be rooming
together, but rather with your partner. Call with any questions you may have and be sure to let
us know of any special needs you may have including physical or dietary limitations, allergies,
etc.
