Main Activities:
Introduction: We are taking the skills we have been working on and put them to use in a
modified Lacrosse game called End Zone Lacrosse.
Activities: End Zone Lacrosse: Divide the class in half. There should be 3 fielders and 3 end zone
players. The object of the game is to successfully pass the ball to an end zone player scoring 1 point. At
the end of the game the team with the most points wins. The game starts with a fielding player of a
team in possession of a ball. The rules are as follows: all players may catch the ball on the fly or scoop it
from the ground; fielding players may knock down or intercept attempted passes into the end zone; all
players are allowed to run around the field but not into the end zone. Allow students to play this for a
short amount of time and then have end zone players rotate to fielders and fielders to end zone players.
Closure: I like what I saw. I feel we are ready to move onto a real Lacrosse games.
Assessment: Use anecdotal record keeping notes where each student is at in skill level.
