The KAT Junior Golf Development Program will use a variety of practice areas, including the practice range, short game
areas and the three practice holes, providing number of different types of playing conditions. We welcome parents and
grandparents to come out and watch the instructional sessions or walk with the juniors on course.
PLAYER & SPORT Levels will take place six days over the span of two weeks. With less time between sessions, juniors that
participate in the program retain more, allowing us to provide new information during each session. If you are unsure what
level to put your junior in, give us a call. We will assist with putting the kids in the correct level based on ability and age, to
maximize their enjoyment.
Each of the juniors will be given an equipment evaluation and information will be provided to parents. Special pricing will be
offered to kids participating in the program. Golf clubs are required, but for those who do not have access to equipment,
every effort will be made to supply kids with equipment.

Students, Kids and Moms & Dads
This season we are rolling out a new Junior Golf Development Program that expands on the success of the Mecosta County
Junior Golf Program. We have incorporated new offerings that will assist in the development of your junior golfer. The
programs are progressive will educate juniors, learning fundamentals and life skills through the game of golf.
KAT (Kids & Athlete's in Training) Junior Golf Development Programs, a PGA Sports Academy is a fun progressive junior
program that teaches golf, fitness and nutrition, sportsmanship and playing skills.
Our PGA Professional Staff will provide an environment for junior golfers to keep them engaged and have a fun, interactive
experience. Educating juniors and involving them in golf is the goal, but keeping it fun is our primary focus.
Instructors will guide juniors through a variety of physical movements assisting in their development and improving hand eye
coordination and joint movement. This process will ultimately show us the skill level of your junior and understand where we
can help them the most to improve their game quickly.
The program has three main levels: PLAYER, SPORT and CHAMPION. Each level includes five focus areas that will help
juniors learn, develop and practice the skills to become better golfers and enjoy the sport of golf. Five Focus Areas include;





Sportsmanship, Rules and Etiquette
Golf Skills
Fitness and Nutrition
Golf and “Near-Golf” Experiences
Golf and Physical Assessments
As juniors progress through each of these levels they will develop the necessary physical and golf skills to practice, improve
and enjoy the sport. At the end of each level, each participant will be tested again and will receive a score based on their skill
level. Each participant will have a practice program to improve and set goals to help them become a better golfer.
In addition to the three main levels, we will offer “BE LIKE BUBBA” PLAYING CLINICS, “KIDS INVY” parent child
tournament, AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM, we will have a team of juniors participate in PGA JR. LEAGUE GOLF, provide
summer junior tournament information and information on FSU GOLF CAMPS.
The staff and I look forward to the opportunity to help your junior this season. We guarantee all of the kids in this program
will have a ton of FUN, learn and maybe get a little tired out before heading home.
