Since 1966 the Saskatchewan Riding Clubs Association (SRCA) has been instrumental in providing an
opportunity for Saskatchewan families and horse enthusiasts to compete in a variety of Western and
Gymkhana events across the province. For the last 47 years riders have been competing at the local
club levels gathering points in hope of being selected to represent their riding club at the Provincial
Finals. Our main focus is on creating opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy competing in a variety
of horseback riding events. The SRCA has riding members as young as 3 and over 80 years of age
competing in 7 different age divisions. Those competitors compete for prizes such as trophy saddles,
blankets, halters, horse feed, etc.
Trophy Saddles are awarded to high point riders in both Western and Gymkhana Divisions. We also
present a Trophy Saddle to our King/Queen competitor who over the weekend has achieved the highest
score meeting all the criteria. Over the provincial finals weekend we give out trophies for best club stall
decorations and theme. In addition, competitors who go above and beyond expectations of
volunteerism and a good hearted willingness to help throughout the weekend are rewarded with
Congeniality Awards. We also have games and special events that involve the entire family.
One main reason for our success over the years is the attention given to the youth and entry level riders.
Competitor prize packages are presented to all the competing members in the lower age categories. So
even if they don’t finish in the top four (4) of any event, they go home at the end of the weekend with a
smile on their face and the desire to continue riding in this great family association.
This year our finals will be held in Moose Jaw at the Golden Mile Arena September 27-29. As always
we do not charge spectator admission and welcome everyone to come and enjoy a weekend of fun and
competition.
As a non-profit association our success is based widely on the generosity of individuals, companies and

information and a sponsor form. We are affiliated with the Saskatchewan Horse Federation and
registered with Revenue Canada. Receipts will be provided upon request. If you are unable to provide a
cash donation but want to show your support, we also accept prizes for our Fund Raising Auction
