Brightlink basics: You can turn the projector on and off using the remote control or the wall-mounted Pixie controller on both, choose “Video” for the HDMI signal used by the computer and document camera the projector’s built-in annotation tools will be active when the doc camera is on for annotating a computer screen or to use a digital whiteboard, it is best to use the Easy Interactive Tools on your laptop (more functions/features) IMPORTANT: You must change the resolution settings on your MacBook Pro the first time you connect it to the projector. With the HDMI cable plugged into your computer and the projector set to “Video”, open up your System Preferences and choose Displays. Select the Epson window and change the resolution setting to 1280x800, then slide the Underscan control until the projector image is optimal for the whiteboard. See screenshot: Calibration – the Epson stylus occasionally needs to be calibrated for accurate tracking on the board. Normally, this involves tapping 20 or so dots on the screen, but the Brightlink has an Auto Calibration, which you can initiate from the remote – just press the “User” button and follow the prompts. Re-calibrate whenever you start seeing the stylus lose precision. E-Zoom – You can zoom the projected image using the E-Zoom button on the remote. Kyocera copier/printers: Make sure that the Kyocera driver has been installed on your laptop by Crystal or Andrew Go to System Preferences and choose Print&Scan Click the plus sign below the printer list to add a printer Select “IP” from the 4 icons at the top of the window and enter the IP Address of the machine you want to add: Floor 1: 10.150.4.1 Floor 2: 10.150.4.30 Floor 3: 10.150.4.3 Change the Name from the IP address to “SC Kyocera6500i – Floor __” If the “Use” field says Generic Postscript Printer, use the pull-down menu and select “Select Printer Software”, then look for Kyocera CS 6500i and select it.
