Pre-requisites to attend course
are currently registered with AOCRA can enrol in this course.
have obtained their Beginning Coaching General Principles (Level One General
Principles) or an equivalent coaching certificate can enrol in this course.

Theoretical and practical components
Interspersed on both days (be prepared to get wet).
Participants will need to bring their own food on both days.

Saving Team Shane, a former Australian Sprint Canoe Champion and Australian
representative in the World’s flatwater kayaking Championships are only a few of
the major achievements under Shanes belt over a life time of competing at a National
and International level.
Shane strenght as an Australian Ski Champion, brings a depth of knowledge and the
competitve edge to those he coaches. His committment to the athletes he trains and
dedication to the sport has earned him the respect throughout the nation as one of
Australia’s top coaches and competitors. Outrigging is nothing new to Shane,
competing at Molikai several times, and now passing on his knowledge as an
educator.

Directions to Cleveland off the highway
Coming from the Sunshine Coast or Brisbane Airport
Head south on the Gateway Motorway and exit on Old Cleveland Road (Exit 97). After leaving the
highway turn left at the traffic lights and merge onto Old Cleveland Road. Stay on Old Cleveland
Road for 7.5km following the signs towards Capalaba/Cleveland. Continue straight onto Finucane
Road for 5.5km following the signs for Cleveland. At the roundabout continue straight onto Shore
St West. Continue through the second roundabout onto Shore St West. At the third roundabout
turn left onto Masthead Drive. Quickly turn right onto Bowsprit Parade. Bollard Court is on your
left.
Coming from the Gold Coast
Head north on the Pacific Motorway and exit on Beenleigh-Redland Bay Road (Exit 30). After
leaving the highway stay on Beenleigh-Redland Bay Road for 4.5km then turn left onto Mt Cotton
Road. After 10km turn right onto Woodlands Drive. Continue straight onto Panarama Drive then
continue straight onto Wellington Street. At the roundabout turn right onto Shore St West. At the
third roundabout turn left onto Masthead Drive. Quickly turn right onto Bowsprit Parade. Bollard
Court is on your left.
