New Reports User Guide This document outlines the enhancements made to the TradeDoubler reports. Within the navigation menu you will see duplicated menu options that have been marked “BETA” to identify the reports that have been enhanced. The BETA reports have been introduced so that you can become accustomed to the new interface and to allow time to ensure all bugs are ironed out. The BETA reports are expected to be running in parallel with the existing reports until the 28 th March 2006. If you would like to report any bugs and feedback to us please email [email protected]. 1) My Reports- (New Report) The “My reports” section is where all the reports that you have saved are managed. You can edit the saved report, add a subscription, delete and run the report. Instructions to “Save” a report within the “My Reports” area. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Navigate to a Report such as the “Program Overview” report. Choose your filter options. Scroll to the bottom of the report page and expand the link “Show add to My reports” This will display the fields to enter the report Name and Description text. Click Save. It will now be saved within the My Reports area. The screenshot below shows the Program Overview report with the “Show add to My Reports” option. Subscribe to “My Reports” The subscription function sends out emails to one or several recipients with the report as an attachment. This is done by selecting the period (of frequency) and start date. The period options are: daily, weekly and monthly. The time interval that the report covers should correspond with the selected period, i.e. Period weekly = the report should cover last week (from Sunday). The report can be delivered in Excel, PDF, HTML, XML or CSV file format The screenshot below shows the “My Subscriptions” interface. 2) Enhanced Search and Filter Options for reports. Many of the reports have an updated interface that allows you to do a search based on a wider selection of options New Default Search Filters Program Category: You can now select an affiliate Website and choose to show transactions related to a specific category. (For example, a shopping directory website may only want to see the transactions for programs that only fall within the Travel category. Previously the only choice was to search results for 1 or ALL programs.) Country: Will list programs based by Country. Currency: Will display the results of transactions displayed in the selected currency. Period: Additional time periods have been preset; Last week and This week. The screenshot below illustrates the new default filters you are able to select. Advanced Search Filters There are several new metrics/fields that can be displayed in the reports under "Advanced" options (the main ones listed below) Impressions #=Number of impressions $=The total amount of commission, in chosen currency, that has been generated through impressions. Unique impression #=Number of unique impressions i.e. one impression per browser. $=The total amount of commission, in chosen currency, that has been generated through unique impressions. Clicks #=Number of clicks. $=The total amount of commission, in chosen currency, that has been generated through clicks. CTR= Clicks/impressions. The percentage of impressions that result in a click. Unique visitors #= Number of Unique Visitors $= The total amount of commission, in chosen currency, that has been generated through Unique visitors. UVR= Unique visitor/impressions. The percentage of impressions that result in a Unique Visitor. Leads #= Number of leads $= The total amount of commission, in chosen currency, that has been generated through leads. LR= Leads / Unique visitors. The percentage of unique visitors that result in a lead. Sales #= Number of sales. $= The total amount of commission, in chosen currency, that has been generated through sales. CR= Sales / Unique visitors. The percentage of unique visitors that result in a sale. iLeads #= Number of impression leads $= The total amount of commission, in chosen currency, that has been generated through iLeads. iLR= Leads/impressions. The percentage of impressions that result in a lead when a click is missing. iSales: #= Number of impression sales $= The total amount of commission, in chosen currency, that has been generated through iSales. iCR= Sales/impressions. The percentage of impressions that result in a sale when a click is missing. Keymetrics EPM= Earnings Per 1000 Impressions = Total Commission/1000 impressions EPC= Earnings Per 100 Unique visitors= Total Commission/100 Unique visitors AOV= Average Order Value = Order Value / Sales Commission: Publisher= The amount of commission you have earned Digital wallet: Deposits = Manually added commissions Withdraws = Manually removed commissions Additional Order value= The total sum of the order that was made by the visitor. The screenshot below illustrates the new “Advanced” filters you can select. Custom Key Metric Column Custom Key Metric Column allows you to specify your own key metric that you want to display in the report. Show add to My reports If you want to add a report to "My reports" simple name it and press save. It will then be saved within the "My reports" item in the menu so you can run reports that you yourself have specified; you only have to select date! 3) Enhanced Reporting results All of the updated reports will have the structure shown as below: At the top of the table there are Icons which allow you to choose an export version of the report (HTML, PDF, Excel, XML and CSV) so that you can download or print the data. 1. Detailed information about the report, including the time period the report was last updated. To view the time the Report was last updated, click on “Read more”. 2. Time in seconds that it took to generate the report. 3. Cross linking/ Drill down options In the table of results, the 1st column “Link” gives you the option of “Cross linking” to other reports and/or a “Drill Down” option to get to detailed information. 4. To “sort” the results you can click on the column name (E.G. Commissions). An arrow will display the sort order; by clicking on the column name a second time you can reverse the sort order. Additionally by clicking on a link from the “Program Name” column you will be able to view the Advertiser’s website. By clicking on the “Program ID”, you will be able to view the Program Settings page which gives you an overview of the program (E.G. Commission Rates and cookie information). 4) New Report Features Program Overview Report: This report gives you a precise description on the transactions that you have generated, broken down per program and specified time period. After running the report, you can click on the program name to produce even more detailed information about the transactions generated for that particular program. Choose to filter by program category Choose to filter by Country Display transaction in chosen currency Cross link to Ad (Graphical element) Report, Event Breakdown and EPI Drill down to Monthly Overview Report Ad Report This report replaces the Graphical Element Report which allows you to analyse the performance of your Ads (graphical elements) Monthly Overview Report: The Monthly Overview report gives a precise description on the data of your choice broken down per month/program. Select the information that you want to see in the report using the checkboxes in advanced settings. You can now view the Monthly Overview filtered by Advertiser program. The Monthly Overview report now groups together the results for the previous year’s data. By clicking on the “+” symbol, you can expand the results. Drill down to view the results “day by day” Cross link to the Program Overview Report Event Breakdown Report The Event Breakdown Report shows the number of sales and leads generated during a selected period. It also shows the order/lead value of the event as well as your commission for the event. An additional EPI metric has been created The “Last Changed” date will show the date the event has been updated. EPI Report Epi - Enhanced publisher integration - enables you to add an extra parameter to your tracker links. You may want to do this if you have a site that rewards your users for sales they make or to more closely measure the performance of your links. There are now 2 EPI parameters you can work with. Drill down by EPI 1 or EPI 2 Cross Link to the Program Overview report and Event Breakdown report. Top Product Report This report shows the top selling products during the selected period. The report will only show data if TradeDoubler's extended reporting (report info) functionality is implemented.
