This event is also the qualification tournament for the 2016 Australian Asian Schools &
2016 World Youth teams. For more information please refer to the TBA web site at

Format:
Stage 1 - Qualifying
All bowlers will bowl 5 games in each of two separate appearances, changing lanes after each game, even two pair to
the right, odds two pair to the left. All play will be on TBA approved patterns, Saturday short and Sunday medium. The
top 15 males and the top 15 females based on scratch pinfall after qualifying will go through to Stage 2. Pinfall will carry
over. Entries numbers are based on 5 bowlers per pair.
Stage 2 – Matchplay Final
The top 15 males and females will bowl an additional 7 games in a three-way matchplay format. The final will be played
on the medium pattern.
Point System
In the matchplay section, bowlers will compete against each other scratch, highest pinfall winning each match.
20 pins – 1st place, 10 pins – 2nd place & 0 pins 3rd
15 pins – 1st place draw
5 pins – 2nd place draw
10 pins each – triple tie

Stage 2 bowlers not checked in by 5.00pm will be replaced by the next available reserve and forfeit their right to receive any Prize
Fund.
The Sunday morning squad will be the bottom half of the field, halved by gender. In case of odd number of participants, the top half
of the field will be rounded up.
For all bowlers wishing to gain ranking points in the TBA National Rankings Program, Registration & Silver membership is required
prior to participating in the Cup.
Squad listings will be updated on a regular basis via the TBA web site at www.tenpin.org.au.
A "Reserves" list will be shown on the web site where bowlers will be put if requesting a particular squad that is currently full. TBA
will add the bowler’s names and the squads they have requested to that list. The bowlers should identify a second preference and
will be added to that second preference squad as well.
Bowlers who have paid either the deposit or full payment will be coloured RED and their squads confirmed.
With the exception of athletes participating in the respective Australian Team selection trials, all bowlers have until Tuesday,
December 15th 2015 to pay a deposit/full entry fee to confirm their spots. After that time, spots will be given to Reserves that have
paid and requested a particular squad.
For those bowlers who have nominated for the 2016 World Youth Team or the 2016 Asian School Tenpin Bowling Team, entries
will close on Wednesday 9th December 2015. (Deposit or full payment must accompany entry).

Rules:
1. This event is open to all 2016 TBA members in good standing and all non-resident bowlers who are a member of an affiliated
federation who have not reached their 21st birthday on the 1st January 2016.
2. This event will be a nationally ranked tournament for Silver TBA Youth bowlers based upon the bowler’s scratch scores. Bowlers
outside of Stage 2 Matchplay Final will receive ranking points based on their qualifying position. Any bowlers wishing to receive
Ranking points must have registered for rankings prior to the events commencement and will be required to produce proof of
payment of their 2016 Silver membership at check-in.
3. Bowlers are required to check-in with the tournament team prior to the designated squad time each day of the tournament. Play
will commence after a short briefing on both days.
4. TBA Rules and Regulations, including the Code of Conduct, shall apply at all times.
5. No Smoking is permitted whilst a bowler is participating in the event until either the end of the days play or the bowler is eliminated
from the event.
6. Any bowler wishing to leave the lanes during a block of games during the tournament must first obtain the permission of the
Tournament Director or an event official.
7. Any protests must be lodged with the Tournament Director before the tournament prize fund is paid and then confirmed in writing
with Tournament Director or TBA within 48 hours of the completion of the tournament.
8. All bowlers are requested to wear a collared shirt or bowling industry manufactured shirt. Males may wear long dress pants or
neat dress shorts. Females may wear slacks, shorts, skirts, 3/4 dress pants or skorts. No jeans, cargo pants, tracksuit pants, T
shirts, tank tops, or hats are to be worn whilst competing unless an exemption to the dress rules has been sought from the
Tournament Director prior to the commencement of the event.
9. Bowlers not checked in by the advertised time will be disqualified and will have no claim on any prize money.
10. Any ties for 15th place Stage 1 or for 1st place at the completion of the Matchplay will be decided by a one game play off. If the
tie still exists, it will be decided by a 9th and 10th frame playoff. Any other ties in the top 15 males or females after matchplay will
share the prize money of the tied positions.
11. Any errors in scoring must be advised to the Tournament Director prior to the Prize Fund presentation. After that time all positions
and payouts will remain as presented.
