Representative Teams Selection Policy
Talented players will be identified, who have demonstrated a consistent and high standard of
performance and commitment.
The composition and number of teams will be determined annually and is always dependant on
finances.
Players in all Taranaki age group teams must be under the age of the respective age group and must
be selected and play in their own age group grades as determined by their age at 1 January, of the
current season. Netball Taranaki Selection Panel comprises of selectors appointed by Netball
Taranaki.
Players named as trialists and who wish to be considered for selection must attend and participate in
the trials on the scheduled date. Trialists who are injured/ill on the scheduled date must also attend
trials and provide a written medical certificate stating the reason they are unable to participate, only
then will they be eligible for selection.
