(MADIKWE CONSERVANCY PRIVATE GAME RESERVE GATE)
PLEASE NOTE
 We strongly advise that you hire a vehicle with a high ground clearance (example: 4x4, 2x4) due to the
conditions of some of the dirt roads leading up to the Madikwe Game Reserve and in the reserve itself
 We advise that you fill up with fuel at the Engen garage situated on the N4, just after the first toll gate. There
is no fuel available once in Madikwe Game Reserve.
 Please call the house once you have reached Sun City.

IMPORTANT MELOA GATE TIMES (Madikwe Conservancy Private Game Reserve):
Please note that the operating hours for the gates are as follows:
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun: 07:30 – 13:00 14:00 – 16:30
Wed: 07:30 – 13:00 14:00 – 15:00
We suggest arriving at the gate just before 12:30 or just after 14:00.
We cannot accept early check in arrivals without prior arrangement

Then take the N1 North to Pietersberg (Polokwane).
After the Zambezi Road turnoff, take the N4 towards Rustenburg.
After passing Brits turnoff, look for the R556 Sun City/Pilanesberg turnoff.
Follow the Signs to Sun City/Pilanesberg approx 76km.
After passing Sun City entrance on your right hand side, please phone the house to advise that you have reached Sun
City.
Continue straight on the R556 after passing Sun City entrance for approximately 5 Km's.
You will come to a four-way stop.
Turn right onto the R565 toward Derdepoort.
Follow the road for approximately 8 km's and turn left towards Bapong.

Continue straight for approx 35km (IGNORE ALL SIGNS TO MADIKWE) and find a four-way stop.
Turn right here towards Derdepoort.
After 25km the Tar Road ends.
Continue on this dirt road for another 13.3 km, where you will take the right turn towards Derdepoort.
Continue straight for about 22.7km until you get the gate to the reserve on the left side, sign posted “Madikwe
Conservancy Private Game Reserve”. (THIS IS THE MELOA GATE)
A Morukuru staff member will meet you there and escort you to the Lodge.
