Hydrant Touch-up Kit Order Form
This form may be used to order materials to touch-up most coatings used on Mueller® brand
fire hydrants. Using this form places an order directly with Sherwin-Williams, the coating
supplier – not with Mueller Co. Mueller Co. assumes no liability regarding the performance or
suitability of these touch-up coatings.
Please note the following:
• The instructions provided on this web site (click link in this area of web site labeled:
Mueller® Fire Hydrants - Top Coat Repair/Repaint Process) must be followed when
touching-up any factory applied coating on a Mueller® brand fire hydrant manufactured
since 2010.
• Shinny coatings should be “knocked down” using abrasives to allow proper adhesion of
the touch-up coating.
• Mueller Co. does not guarantee an exact color match when using one of these kits to
touch-up a factory applied coating.
• Use safety procedures and equipment prescribed by your company while preparing
surfaces, mixing, handling and applying coatings.

The touch‐up kits include paint and correct amount of catalyst; Mixing Instructions are included. The product is a polyurethane and requires proper ventilation and PPE. The preferred application method is spraying.
