All radioactive material manufactured and distributed by Spectrum Techniques conforms to the
conditions and limitations specified in the following regulations:

All products containing radioactive material, manufactured by Spectrum Techniques, are
exempt from all U.S. NRC and/or Agreement State licensing requirements.
The quantities of radioactive material used in these products are extremely small and present
no known radiation hazard. Nevertheless, it is still a good practice to minimize exposure by
following the basic health physics principle of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) and
use time, distance, and shielding when handling these products.
Radioactive Material — Not for human use — introduction into foods, beverages, cosmetics,
drugs, or medicinals, or into products manufactured for commercial distribution is prohibited —
Exempt Quantities Should Not be Combined.
Products that contain radioactive material should only be used by, or under the supervision of a
responsible person in an authorized area.
Solid, sealed exempt quantity sources require no special handling instructions. However, when
working with liquid sources, gloves, safety glasses, and laboratory coats are recommended.
Eating, drinking, and smoking should be prohibited in areas where radioactive materials are
used and/or stored.
All radioactive material should be securely stored when not in use.
Do not expose sources to harsh chemicals or extreme temperature changes.
