Setting Up the Price Matrix (MPM)

STEP 1:
Setup product codes in function MPM. Each product code has 5 groups, and each group can be
setup as either (+), markup from cost, (-), markdown from retail, (*), manually type the matrix
price in IMU screen P in the fields Price 1 - Price 5.
For example, to setup a product code which has Price 1 at +10% from cost, Price 2 at +12% from
cost, Price 3 at +15% from cost, Price 4 at -15% from retail, and Price 5 manually entered in
IMU screen P:

The product code is ‘2’.
Rnd means ‘Round’, and can be ‘N’, no rounding, ‘Y’, round to nearest whole number,
‘1’, use the PRO table, or ‘4’, use Cotter & Company variable pricing.
STEP 2:
Code all items in IMU Screen C in the Product Code field with the product code from MPM.
The function RICU can be used to code a range of items with the same product code.
STEP 3:
Run RPC with option A. Press <RUN> and a second screen appears.
Select option 4 - Update Matrix Prices and press <RUN> again. Then a third screen appears.
Enter the Date Effective (usually the current date),
then Y or N to Update (+) Type Matrix Prices, then press <RUN> again and
enter which cost to Update (+) Type Matrix Prices with. (Normally the cost specified
in the MIC field Cost Used In Calculations.)
Then press <RUN> one last time.
NOTE:
RPC loads the new price changes into IPC. The new price changes can be viewed
on the M screen.
STEP 4:
Run RPC option F to finalize the price changes and update IMU screen P with the new prices.
STEP 5:
Link a Product Code group to a customer by:
Displaying the customer number in MCR, then
At STD SELL PRICE, enter the group 1 - 5,
then press <CHANGE>.
The Product Code group is now linked to the customer.
