Some content from Moodle sites will not be copied to Canvas as it will not copy across from a technical perspective and/or there is no exact equivalent in Canvas. Some content that is copied will not be copied perfectly and will need to be reviewed and reformatted. Staff should expect to have to recreate parts of their teaching sites in Canvas. Support is available to assist (see above). In summary, the areas likely to require the most review and reformatting, or a change in tool or practice are: Heading levels Site format/layout Dialogue Feedback Forum Quiz Book Label URL (link checking) EQUIVALENCY TABLE Moodle Tool/Functionality Recommended Tool in Canvas Alternative External tool Assignment Assignment: 1)Individual File submission 1)Assignment with File Submission 2)Individual ePortfolio Submission 2)External 2) Mahara eportfolio will be integrated with Canvas for 2018 . 3) Individual Online Text Submission 3)Assignment with Online Text Submission 4)Group Assignment 4) Assignment (Group assignment setting) 5)Non Submission Assignment 5) Assignment (Non Submission setting) Attendance Canvas has an Attendance tool.
