Mission One

Mission One
Primary Objective – Maelstrom Of War: Contact Lost
Objective Markers
Before determining table halves, take turns placing 6 Objective Markers that are individually numbered 1 through
6 on the battlefield, using the rules for Placing Objective Markers. These objectives are only used for the Primary
Objective.
Tactical Objectives
Each player generates 1 Tactical Objective at the start of the first turn, even if they control any of the Objective
Markers. If you draw a card that you could not possibly accomplish because it does not exist, (manifest a psychic
power when you had no Psykers in your army at all) you may discard and redraw.
Primary Victory Conditions
At the end of the game, the player who has scored the most Victory Points from the Primary Objective wins the 4
Primary Objective Points. If both players have the same number of Victory Points, the objective is a draw and no
player receives any points.
Secondary Objective – Eternal War: Purge The Alien
Victory Points
At the end of the game, each player receives 1 Victory Point for each enemy unit that has been completely
destroyed. Units that are Falling Back at the end of the game, and units that are not on the board at the end of the
game, count as destroyed for the purposes of this mission. Remember that Independent Characters and Dedicated
Transports are individual units and award Victory Points if they are destroyed.
Secondary Victory Conditions
At the end of the game, the player who has scored the most Victory Points from the Secondary Objective wins the
3 Secondary Objective Points. If both players have the same number of Victory Points, the objective is a draw and
no player receives any points.
Tertiary Objectives
Slay the Warlord
If the enemy army has a Warlord, and at the end of the game the Warlord has been removed as a casualty, you
score 1 Tertiary Objective Point.
First Strike
If you destroy an enemy unit in the first game turn, you score 1 Tertiary Objective Point.
Note: Both players can earn this point.
Ground Control
If you control two or more Primary Mission Objective Markers at the end of the game and your opponent does not
control any, you score 1 Tertiary Objective Point.

player receives any points.
Secondary Objective – Eternal War: The Relic
Objective Marker
The players place a single Objective Marker that is visibly different than the Objective Markers used for the Primary
Objective, in the center of the table. If the center of the table is occupied with impassible terrain, place the
Objective Marker along the center line as close as possible to center of the table but no closer to any player’s edge
than the center line.
Secondary Victory Conditions
At the end of the game, the player who controls the Relic Secondary Objective wins the 3 Secondary Objective
Points. The Relic Objective Marker may picked up using the rules for Seizing the Relic and even though it is an
Objective Marker, may not be contested while the Objective Marker is being held. It may also be controlled, and
can only be contested, if the Objective Marker is on the table.
Tertiary Objectives
Linebreaker
If, at the end of the game, you have at least one model from one or more of your scoring units completely within
12” of the enemy’s table edge, you score 1 Tertiary Objective Point.
King of the Hill

opponent, you score 1 Tertiary Objective Point.

control more table quarters than your opponent, you score 1 Tertiary Objective Point.
