Soccer
The Knights soccer team opened its season with a 5-1 victory over Immanuel, Mankato and a loss against
St. Peter. 1 and 1 isn’t bad. The team will play at Lake Crystal tomorrow night at 6:15 PM. The game will take
place at the high school (607 Knights Lane) across from the rec. center. On Thursday, team pictures will be taken
during practice. Please remember your jerseys. Team members are encouraged to be ready to go so that minimal
time will be lost for practice. Also, players need to bring their own water to games & practices.
Risen Savior Soccer Tournament
This Saturday, Risen Savior will be hosting its annual soccer tournament at Kennedy Elementary. Eight
teams will be participating this year. The first pair of games will begin at 9:00 AM. The Knights will play their first
game at 9:45 AM. The team should be at the field by 9:15 AM. A full tourney schedule is printed on the back.
Thank you to all families for generously donating items or cash for the PTF concession stand! Soccer
families are asked to bring their dozen of baked goods to the St. Mark kitchen by Friday. Please mark if it contains
nuts or PB. We are also looking for coolers for drinks. Please email Megen Rupnow at [email protected] if
you have one to loan. Thank you and go Knights!
All School Bowling Trip
This past Friday, the entire student body of Risen Savior enjoyed the opportunity to share some time
together and bowl at Dutler’s Bowl. It was definitely a fun afternoon. A big “thank you” once again goes out to
Palmer Busing for providing transportation for the trip.

Bus Safety
This Thursday, a district bus will be at both the St. Mark and St. Paul’s campuses to practice evacuation
procedures. A short busing safety quiz will also be taken by all students.
MVL Cross Country Meet
Minnesota Valley Lutheran H. S. will be hosting its annual grade school cross country meet on Friday,
October 5 at 4:00 PM. Let’s see how many Knights we can have compete!
No Morning Bus
There will be no morning buses tomorrow. The afternoon buses will run according to schedule.
Early Dismissal
There will be an early dismissal at 11:30 AM on Friday, Sept. 28. No lunch will be served on that day so
please send along a midmorning snack with your child if you would like.
Singing for Worship
Gr. K, 3-4 will be singing at the 8:00 AM worship service on Sept. 23 at St. Paul’s. Students are asked to
meet in the upstairs classroom by 7:45 AM.
