Special Conditions 8.9 – Bid #9138-EST
Classroom Supplies & Equipment Catalog Discount Bid
During 2010, School Specialty will publish catalogs applicable to this bid that will shift from brand focused
(i.e. covers that say SAX, Childcraft, abc, etc) into offerings that focus on the needs of our targeted
customers (i.e. covers that identify the customer audience like Early Childhood, Art Education, Science,
Physical Educations, Administrator, etc.). Most of these catalogs will feature Educator’s Net Pricing (ENP)
beginning in January 2010.
The School Specialty response includes for each category a firm catalog discount off of “List Price” that will
be in effect until the Educator’s Net Price (ENP) is published. As School Specialty transitions catalogs to
ENP, HCPS will automatically be moved to ENP pricing which will be reflected in all electronic pricing files
provided to the district AND on the customized HCPS School Specialty ordering website. Until a brand /
category catalog moves the ENP pricing, the discounts noted on the bid response form or in the attached
brand specific letters will remain in effect. Catalogs that are identified as being Net Priced / Special Sale

particular district's purchasing with School Specialty as defined in the bid under Additional Discounts
(Special Terms 2.16)". It is School Specialty’s intent to offer a district rebate program of at least 2% once
