Introduction
ThepurposeofthisinformationpackistoprovideourTeamManagerswithinformation
regardingtheclub,detailsofbasicadministrationtasksthatneedtobecompletedand
moreimportantlyprovideasourceofmaterialtoassistnewManagersingettingstarted.
Thedocumenthasbeenbrokendowntoassistyouthroughouttheyear–frominitial
registrationsthroughtoendofseasonfunctions.
Thesoccerseasonshouldbeagreatexperienceforplayers,parentsandTeamManagers.
PleaserememberyouareactingastheManagerandyoudonotneedto“do”everything–
feelfreetoinvolveotherparentstoassistwithtasks.
Youarenotalone-theCommitteeandyourCoachareavailabletosupportyouthroughout
theyearsopleasefeelfreetoprovidefeedbackonanyissuesorobstaclesyouencounter
duringtheseason.

HamptonJuniorSoccerClubcontinuestogrowwithstrongsoccerparticipationratesinthe
localarea.Weaimtoprovideasocialandcommunityfocusedclubthatsupportsboththe
playerandtheirparents.ThiswouldnotbepossiblewithoutthesupportofourTeam
Managers.
OurTeamManagershelptoensurethechildrenhaveagreatseasonbyhelpingto
coordinatetheteam,disseminatinginformation,advertisingHJSCevents/activitiesand
actingasapointofcontactwithintheteam.

requiressportsclubstomeet“ChildSafeStandards”(TheStandards).TheStandardsare
aimedathelpingclubstoprotectchildrenfromabuse.
Inaccordance,withthelegislationHJSChaveimplementedaChildSafetyPolicy&Codeof

arrangedbyParents/GuardianswiththeCoach,TeamManagerorotherparents.
Thisincludesplayers,juniorrefereesandassistantcoaches.Forexamplechildren
mustnotbedroppedhomewithouttheexpresspermissionoftheParent/Guardian.
Twoadultsaretobepresentattraining–Coachandanotheradult.
Supervisingadultsshouldavoidbeingalonewithachildinanunobservable/isolated
locationegchangeroom.

Wewillarrangealltheballs,bibsandconesfortrainingthatwillremainwiththeCoachfor
theseason.Priortotheseasoncommencing,theteamwillalsoreceivea“matchdaykit”
consistingofhomeshirts,firstaidkit,whistleandmatchballs.
TheHJSCshirtsbelongtotheclubandweneedyourhelptomaintainthemsotheylasta
reasonablenumberofyearsbeforereplacing.Stripsshouldbewashedincool/warmwater,
insideoutandMUSTNOTbetumbledried(topreservethelogoandnumbers).
Ourpreferenceisthatyoudonotgiveshirtsoutfortheseasonassometimesthe
temptationtowearthemcanbetoomuch!However,ifyoudogivethemout,please
emphasisetoplayersandparentsthatshirtsareonlyforgameday(notfortrainingandnot
forschool!).
Thenumbersandsizesfortheshirtshavebeenpre-allocated,however,ifyouneedlargeror
smallersizes,afewextrashirtsareavailable–contactStantoarrange.

GameleaderforUnder7:
ThemainroleoftheGameLeaderistokeepthegamemovingfluently,limitstoppagesand
assistplayerswithallmatchre-starts.Mostimportantly,theymustmakeeveryeffortto
createanenvironmentthatensuresthatallplayershavefunandhavemaximum
involvement.Becausethechildrenarelearningthegameatthislevel,itisimportanttobe
flexibleandpatient.
