B / 1A / 2A Senior All-Star Game

EAST VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
The purpose of these games is to provide up to 36 seniors with an “All Star” opportunity to play
against other kids across the Yakima area. We will also use these games to nominate the (10) best high
school baseball players to possibly represent our area in the Washington All State Baseball Series.
Fourteen schools are eligible to nominate players for the Feeder Game. These (10) players, if selected by
the All-State Committee, will participate in the annual High School All-Star Game in Yakima the weekend
of June 10-11, 2017. All feeder game nominations are due by Friday, May 26.
Game times for the Senior All Star Games are as follows:

8-INNINGS
Arrive at the field at 3:30 wearing your High School game uniforms. You will need to bring your own
gear, including catcher’s gear, to be used during the game. Batting helmets will be provided, however,
each player may choose to bring their own batting helmets.
The all star games are not sanctioned by, or affiliated with, the WIAA, therefore each player will be
responsible for paying the $25 player’s fee, for insurance coverage, prior to stepping on the field.

Admission will be charged for admittance. Adults can enter for $3 and students $2.
At the completion of this tournament, (10) players will be nominated to advance to the All-State
Game. The voting process by the tournament selection committee will be based on these factors:
1. 50% on their 2017 season success and statistics
2. 25% on their HS career success and statistics
3. 25% on their performance in this feeder game.
All players nominated to the All State game MUST be able to, and want to, go. Players are still eligible to
play in the Feeder Game, but please notify the director that you are not able to attend the State Game on
June 10-11. If you cannot play at least one of the days at the All-State game in Yakima we cannot,
and will not, nominate you to the State Committee no matter what.
